Minnipa is a small town located on the Eyre Peninsula, 34km west of Wudinna, in the midst of South Australia’s grain belt. Apex Park camping ground is on the main Eyre Highway and a convenient stopover point when traversing the Nullarbor.

Parking is available on-site for up to 96 hours and caters for vehicles of all sizes. A donation for the stay is greatly appreciated. The park facilities include covered seating, coin-operated barbecues, toilets and a dump point. Pets on a lead are welcome. The town is well equipped with a general store, roadhouse, pub, vet clinic and a mechanic.

The main attraction of Minnipa is the fascinating granite rock formations. Pildappa Rock is just a 20-minute drive and is the largest wave rock on the Eyre Peninsula. Also worth visiting is the Minnipa Agricultural Centre, and if you have time a day trip to sheep station country in the Gawler Ranges National Park, northeast of Minnipa is a must.
