When travelling the outback between Charleville and Cunnamulla, you’ll find a friendly and most unusual little post office and general store.

This little gem is owned by Glenn and Kim Paterson who have lived in Wyandra for over seven years, converting a rundown post office into a fully functioning tourist facility where you can enjoy a fresh cup of tea or coffee, fish and chips or their famous ‘Wyandra Whoppa Burger’.

For those wishing to stay at Wyandra Post and General Store, parking is available for a cost of $15 per vehicle per night for unpower, and $20 per vehicle per night for power. This includes access to the bush cinema and mini golf.

Just one kilometre away is the Warrego River where many good sized cod and yellow belly can be caught, or you can enjoy the white sandy beach and relax on the banks of the river.
