Yarram - VIC RVFT

Yarram is situated in the South Gippsland and is only 2.5 hours from Melbourne. The town was gazetted in 1893 however was originally known as Yarram Yarram until 1924 the origins of the name are thought to have originated from an Aboriginal phrase meaning plenty of water. Today Yarram is still a rural farming town with a population of 2100 people.

Yarram offer RV travellers a wide variety of free services including 24 hour parking at Tarra River Rec Area 96 hour parking at White Womans Waterhole and a dump point and potable water which can be found along Buckley Street.

Yarram is a wonderful place to visit especially for RV travellers. The town is in close proximity to Ninety Mile Beach the spectacular cool rainforest of the Tarra-Bulga National Park the Strzelecki Ranges and Wilsons Promontory.
