Alford Recreation Park - SA RVFD
Alford is a small village on the Yorke Peninsula located 170 kilometres north-west of Adelaide. Settlement began in Alford around 1882 and the town was named after Henry Alford - pioneer of the South Australian Police.
The Alford Recreation Park has been developed on the site of the old Alford Primary School and welcomes stays of up to 72 hours for a small donation. Theres plenty of room for RVs of all sizes with up to 30 sites available. The park offers excellent facilities including a free dump point and potable water as well as covered seating toilets bins and barbeques.
Just 11 kilometres from Alford is Tickera Bay which is said to be the best crabbing beach in Australia. Also nearby is Wallaroo which has some beautiful swimming beaches that are extremely popular in the summer months.
