Deepwater is a small village 40 kilometres north of Glen Innes on the New England Highway in northern New South Wales. The area is a thriving agricultural centre for wool lamb and beef farming and honey production. Originally settled in the 1830s there are many historical buildings still in use today. Longhorn Bar & Grill was built in 1865 and was once a Cobb & Co changeover point.
The historic pub offers RV travellers a free camping ground for up to 72 hours with modern hot showers and clean toilets. For those wishing to access power an additional fee of $15 per vehicle per night applies. Potable water barbecue facilities covered seating and bins are also provided and bookings are strongly recommended prior to arrival. The pubs restaurant specialises in country-style cooking and pizzas with unique craft beers on tap and a range of wines available.
While staying in Deepwater visitors can go horse riding fish for Murray Cod and Golden Perch or try their luck fossicking for dazzling gemstones.
