Now a veritable oasis, thanks to the development of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area in the early 1900s, the region is part of the largest food bowl of Australia.

Griffith is also home to some of Australia’s prominent premium wineries such as McWilliam’s, De Bortoli, Casella, West End, Nugan and Warburn to name a few and is now one of Australia’s largest wine producing regions. Many are still family owned and enjoy an Italian heritage with centuries old winemaking traditions and a philosophy of enjoying good wine and good food with family and friends as a celebration of life.
