Tullamore is a small town located in the Parkes Shire in the Central West of New South Wales. Nestled in an area north west of Parkes, south west of Dubbo and north east of Condobolin, Tullamore is a strong community with all the necessary services to sustain a vibrant town. The town has become best known for the incredibly popular Tullamore Irish Festival, featuring Irish dancers and entertainers, an Irish hurdle race and a program of Irish fun. This annual festival held in April has been running since 2004 and celebrates Tullamore’s strong Irish links.
Tullamore offers short and long term parking at the showground, which is located in Henry Parkes Way. Powered and unpowered sites are available for a fee, and a dump point and potable water can be found on-site.
An interesting piece of trivia, the iconic Australian song I’ve Been Everywhere, written by Geoff Mack and made popular by singer Lucky Starr, mentions Tullamore in the first verse. The Tullamore Showground is located close to town and has plenty of parking for recreational vehicles, including facilities such as a dump point and potable water.
