Ungarie is a small farming village located just 42 kilometres from West Wyalong, in the Bland Shire. The Humbug Creek runs through the town and when full, provides a luscious surrounding.
Those wishing to visit Ungarie can find short and long term parking at Ungarie Showground. A donation is required to stay, however visitors can negotiate a stay limit. Showers, toilets, bins, covered seating, power, BBQ, water and a dump point are all located at the showgrounds and pets are permitted on-site. Mobile coverage is also available.
Step back in time with a visit to the Ungarie Museum, which focuses on the historic Wollongough Station. The museum reflects the ingenuity and thrift of the local country people and the volunteers love to share their community stories. Ungarie has a range of dining, pub and club facilities, along with a swimming pool for the warmer months. While in the Bland Shire area, a visit to this quaint farming town is a must.
