Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village, established in 1982 is one of Australia’s largest pioneer villages.  Old Tailem Town is located in the town of Tailem Bend, which is nestled on the cliffs of the Murray River, approximately 99 kilometres east of Adelaide. Experience the life of a pioneer by spending a day walking the streets of Old Tailem Town where you will visit historic streets and buildings, a stationary engine display and a number of unique stores. 

Old Tailem Town offers $10 per vehicle per night to stay in their front carpark for up to 24 hours, with no facilities included. Alternatively, $25 for the first night combined with 10 hours of work given allows for a 1 week stay inside the village with toilet access.

Only a short distance from Monarto Zoo and the beautifully restored Pangarinda Arboretum, the town of Tailem Bend is a treat for nature and wildlife lovers.

Cost: $10pvpn in front carpark, no facilities. To stay inside village pay $25 for the first night, with 10hrs work given 1 weeks stay will be free of charge with use of toilets.
