THIS SITE IS ALSO AN RV FRIENDLY DESTINATION
Nhill is located on the Western Highway in Victoria, and is the halfway point between Melbourne and Adelaide. The Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre was once a World War II training base, and is now a fascinating display of aircraft restoration and memorabilia. The centre is found approximately 3 kilometres north of the township, just follow the brown historic RAAF Base signs, posted at each end of the town on Highway 8.
There is ample parking available at the site for self-contained vehicles of all sizes. Pets on leads are permitted and stays are permitted at no charge for up to 96 hours.
Nhill is surrounded by a number of state and national parks, including the Little Desert National Park, ideal for visiting between late winter and early summer, when blossoms and wildflowers are abundant.
