Kyogle is a country town located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. The ‘lifestyle capital’ of the Upper Richmond Valley is the ideal place to visit for a weekend getaway or stay for a lifetime. Previously, timber was the primary reason for settlement in the area, with red cedar and hoop pine the main timber trees. Today, cattle grazing, forestry and dairy farming are the primary industries of this vibrant town.
Those visiting Kyogle can find short term and long-term parking at Kyogle Showground at a cost of $13 per vehicle per night for an unpowered site. Powered sites available for an additional charge. A 50 days max time limit applies. Conveniently, a dump point and potable water is available at this location.
Visitors are attracted to Kyogle and the surrounding villages because of the spectacular natural beauty of the area that flows with the essence of the Australian rural character. This vibrant town is the gateway to many national parks including the Border Ranges National Park and Toonumbar National Park. The Kyogle Visitor Information Centre is manned by local volunteers and is open seven days a week. While in town, be sure to pop in and view the selection of brochures, purchase some local product, and learn about the region.
