Barmera is located in the Riverland region of South Australia, 220 kilometres north-east of Adelaide. Situated adjacent to Lake Bonney, the natural sparkling freshwater lake is fed from the mighty Murray River and is an excellent spot for aquatic activities such as fishing, sailing, wind surfing, kite surfing and canoeing. 

Bruce Oval, located on Sims St in Barmera, provides free access to a dump point and potable water. Travellers can also stay at the Oval for up to 96 hours for a cost of just $5 per vehicle per night (payable to Barmera VIC). Bins are provided and pets on a lead are permitted.

While in town, be sure to take the time to enjoy the Barmera Heritage Walk and Drive Tour to get to know the town. The Country Music Hall of Fame displays extensive memorabilia for all music lovers and is another must see when visiting Barmera.
