Boggabri is located on the banks of the Namoi River, west of Narrabri, on the Kamilaroi Highway. There is an interesting mix of architecture in town, which can be explored with a walk along the Boggabri Heritage Trail. There is an annual event in town known as Drovers Campfire, which is held at the end of April.
Short and long term parking is available at Boggabri South Rest Area and Boggabri Showground, whilst a dump point and potable water are both located at Jubilee Park, Hull Street.
There is a lot to see and do in the area, such as the Boggabri Historical Museum, Nelson’s Honey Factory and the striking rock formation known as Gins Leap. There is also Dripping Rock, a spectacular semi-circular waterfall surrounded by Melaleucas, which is a great place for a picnic and swim.
