Council shut the camping down.
Wagait Beach Supermarket offers groceries, fuel, gas, hardware and takeaway food to locals and the travelling public. Nestled in the coastal town of Wagait Beach, which sits 8 kilometres across the harbour from Darwin, the store is the perfect pit stop to stock up on supplies and stay for a night or two.
RV travellers in self-contained vehicles can park at the store for a negotiated length of stay. There is no cost to stay on-site; however, patronage of the supermarket is encouraged. There is limited potable water available for travellers, and pets are permitted on leads.
Mandorah is only 5 kilometres from Wagait Beach and offers a 15-minute ferry ride over to Cullen Bay. This gives visitors an easy option to explore all that Darwin has to offer.
