The Thoona Pub is in the heart of Thoona, a small rural village 30km from Wangaratta, Yarrrawonga and Benalla, and 247km north east of Melbourne. With more than 120 years of services the pub is well known for its country hospitality, big fresh meals and icy cold beer. 

The block at the rear of the pub is a comfortable spot to set up for the night, with a park across the road offering a barbecue and covered eating area, and the pub providing toilets for guests. Travellers can stay up to 96 hours free of charge but are encouraged to patronise the pub. 

Thoona is the perfect central location to explore north east Victoria, with the Glenrowan Wine Region, Winton Wetlands, Gliding Club of Victoria, Murray River and the Winton Motor Raceway all close by. On the third Saturday of March each year Thoona comes alive with the Thoona Wheelie-bin Championships, an event not to be missed!
