This picturesque town is located in the Upper Hunter region of NSW. It’s the closest stepping off point to the Barringtons from Sydney and renowned for its rugged countryside, old shops and facades, instilling visitors with a sense of old-world charm and heritage. Dungog offers visitors an array of entertainment throughout the year, including the Dungog Festival in October, the Dungog Show in November and Pedalfest in September. The Visitors Information Centre is located on the corner of Dowling and Brown streets and can provide travellers with ample information on nearby bushwalking and drive trails.
Frank Robinson Park on Stroud Hill Road, offers CMCA members free short term parking on an unpowered site, with potable water and a dump point also available at the showground.
To the north of Dungog is Barrington Tops National Park, with its many camping areas and walking tracks, it is a must stop attraction for nature lovers. There’s also a lot to see in the neighbouring towns of Clarence Town, Paterson, Gresford and Vacy.

Railway Stn Car Park, at the eastern end of Brown St is best for longer vehicles. There is on street parking available for other vehicles in the main st (Dowling St) and adjacent sts.
