York - WA RVFT

York is nestled on the banks of the Avon River in the gently rolling farmlands of the beautiful Avon Valley. This lovely district offers unique insights into Western Australia’s rich and colourful past. York is the oldest inland town in Western Australia, situated 97 kilometres east of Perth and was the first inland settlement in Western Australia. The town has maintained a vibrant spirit among its many Victorian and Federation buildings.

Visitors to town can find casual parking in Lowe Street, and overnight parking can be found across the river at Janet Millet Lane RV Park. Here, stays are free of charge and limited to 24 hours. A dump point is located on Janet Millet Lane, and potable water can be obtained from the taps adjacent to power outlets facing Avon Park.

Offering a scenic and rural lifestyle, step back in time and immerse yourself in this historic town; for those who want to escape the bustle of the city and relax, York is the ideal destination. Well known for annual events and festivals, celebrating music, arts and crafts, vintage motor vehicles, cultural sporting events, and its historical gardens and roses; York is packed with plenty to see and do, making it a popular tourist destination.
