Manildra is a small town located halfway between Orange and Parkes, in the Cabonne Shire, New South Wales. Built on the banks of the Mandagery Creek in the heart of a farming community, the town is approximately five hours from Sydney.
The Manildra Showground on Orange Street is only 2km from the CBD and provides visitors with access to a dump point, potable water, and parking is $20 per vehicle per night for a powered site or $15 per vehicle per night for an unpowered site.
The town’s Amusu Theatre is the longest, continually operating picture theatre in Australia, and adjacent to the theatre is the Manildra Movie Poster Museum, housing around 20,000 uniquely Australian movie posters. Manildra is also home to a hotel, bowling club, local winery and cellar door, and is a popular stopover for travellers visiting the Parkes Radio Telescope, Taronga Western Plains Zoo and the Canowindra Hot Air Balloon Festival.
