Behind every photo is a story.

Members of the public are invited to attend the opening of the ‘Portraits on Main' exhibition at 12pm on the 12th of November 2022. There will be live music performed by Tony (Skid) Marks and students of the Conservatorium, children's face painting by Rainbow Faces between 11am-2pm . Bring your own food or pre-order a picnic box from participating restaurants, then sit in the park and enjoy the celebrations.

There will be over 100 portraits of individuals over the age of 50 who make a difference to our community, however big or small. These photographs will be displayed in freestanding frames along the paths of Belmore Park and hanging on the Auburn St, Sloane St and Courthouse fences.

‘Portraits on Main’ will run for 6 weeks. Beside each portrait will be a QR code, once scanned you can read the incredible story of that individual and learn about their contribution to our community.
