Wee Waa - NSW RVFT

Wee Waa is located on the north-western slopes of the New England region in New South Wales and is situated within the Narrabri Shire. The town itself is known as the Cotton Capital of Australia and is the oldest town along the meandering length of the Namoi River.

Those visiting Wee Waa can find short-term parking at Wee Waa Showground at a cost of $10.00 per vehicle per night. Potable water is located here, and a dump point is located at Dangar Park.

Attractions within the area include Namoi Echo Museum, and it is here you can learn the history of the town through a self-guided tour; CSIRO Australia Telescope (located at Paul Wild Observatory), the largest and most powerful radio telescope in the southern hemisphere; and Yarrie Lake, a three kilometre saucer shaped expanse of water, which is thought to have formed by a falling meteorite.
