Cadell Recreation & Camping Ground - SA RVFD

Cadell is located in the Riverland region of South Australia, on the large southward bend on the Murray River. The town is named after Captain Francis Cadell, a pioneer of steam-powered navigation on the Murray River. Today, Cadell is a quiet rural town situated in the middle of a citrus and wine grape growing area.

CMCA members are able to obtain an unpowered site for $12 per vehicle per night, and non-members for $16 per vehicle per night. CMCA members must produce a valid membership card on arrival and permits must be obtained from the on-site caretaker. Here, travellers are able to stay for a maximum of 14 days, and guests will have access to a dump point, bins and water, and pets on a lead are welcome.

Offering camping sites overlooking the Cadell wetlands and orchards, Cadell Recreation Ground is a short walk to the main street shop and licensed club. For people seeking a stay close nature, the adjacent Wetland Trail threads to bird hides by the wetland lagoon then on to the Murray River. With modern amenities which cater for all abilities, a pet friendly policy and a unique environment, Cadell Recreation Ground is truly a one of those camping spots which really has it all.
