Buxton Barley Bush Camp

Buxton Barley Bush Camp is a family owned camp ground operated by Danny and Sharon Sondergeld. The waterfront camping area is a part of the 650-acre rural property “Buxton Bush Camp” which is located on the Burrum river.

Our oversize shady waterfront camp sites are perfectly suited to self-contained caravans, RVs, camping trailers and tents or swags (we have a dump point on site for the convenience of our self-contained campers). We have a full Camp Kitchen and toilet facilities.

The camping area is level, grassed and is located on the mouth of the Gregory River and fronts the Burrum River which comfortably accommodates 15 waterfront sites and there We have a 40-meter non-camping buffer zone along the front boundary which allows all campers to enjoy the waterfront.

Each waterfront camp site has an average 17-meter frontage and over 400 m2 in area. Caravan/motor home clubs and large groups can easily be accommodated and sited together in any format.

Our rates are charged per person not per site (or the size of your rig) which makes it economical for those traveling alone or those who have large vans/motor homes that generally require 2 sites at other caravan parks. Check-in is from 10.00am and check-out is 10.00am (check-out for hire facilities is 10.00am).
