Cronomby Tanks is located on the Sunraysia Highway, 359km north-west of Melbourne, 183km south-east of Mildura and 154km north of Horsham. Cronomby Tanks is a rugged sanctuary where people can camp for free, picnic, birdwatch, fish and bushwalk. Originally a precinct where steam trains took on water supplies, today the tanks have been cleaned out and linked together to create a popular picnic area and fishing spot. 

This excellent free camps offers free parking for up to 72 hours. Here, guests will have access to bins, and television and mobile reception is available in the area. Pets on a lead are welcome. 

Cronomby Tanks also has several fire pits, picnic tables and bench seats for those who wish to barbecue or sit and enjoy the evening birdsong - a perfect location to base yourself as you explore the Woomelang region.
