The small outback town of Bollon sits on the banks of the peaceful Wallam Creek along Adventure Way. The soil is red, there are endless blue skies, and the local community is made up of friendly and welcoming people.
Bollon welcomes RV travellers by offering parking for up to 72 hours at Wallam Creek Camp Area. Fees are by way of donation, and showers, toilets and barbecues are accessible at this site. A dump point is available at the camp area, as is potable water. Pets on leads are welcome.
While in town, retracing Bollon’s rural history at the Heritage Centre or browsing around the historical shearing display at Deb’s Café are great things to keep you busy. For serious campers and four-wheel drive enthusiasts, Thrushton National Park is 60 kilometres north of town via dirt roads. The Balonne Shire is a beautiful area, offering plenty for visitors to see and do.
