Finley - NSW RVFT

Finley is part of the Berrigan Shire, and is located close to the NSW/VIC border, 35 kilometres from Jerilderie and just a 4 hour drive from Melbourne. You will find all the facilities required to support you through your travels when stopping at, or even just passing through this lovely town. Finley was established as a stop along the stock route connecting the Murray River crossing point with the inland Riverina grazing region. Development resulted in the two major highways (the Newell and Riverina) that intersect at Finely, strategically positioning the town to grow and support the surrounding agricultural community. The Mulwala Canal passes Finley carrying water from the Murray River, and the Wheels of Prosperity sculpture in the parklands surrounding the lake symbolises the importance of irrigation to the town.

Those visiting the town can find short term parking at Endeavour Railway Precinct and stays up to 24 hours is permitted. Potable water is available at this location and a dump point can be found at Finley Showground. For those wishing to stay in town that extra bit longer, a 72 hour stay is available at Finley Showgrounds.

Local attractions include the ‘Pioneer’ Railway Station Precinct and the Historical Log Cabin and Museum (both open by appointment). You can walk or cycle around Finley Lake where the Murray River Marathon and the annual Model Power Boat racing are held or try your luck at the local golf course. Finley hosts an annual rodeo (January), the Tractor Pull Competition (February), the Easter Bowling Tournament (March) and the Agricultural Show (September) to name a few.
