The small farming community of Wickepin is found in the south-west corner of Western Australia, 214 kilometres from Perth. Wickepin is known for its excellent sheep studs, the most famous of which being the ‘Yarling Brook’ stud, founded in the 1940s by CG Russell. The town is also famous for the homestead of Albert Facey, author of ‘A Fortunate Life’ and a Gallipoli veteran.

The Wickepin RV 24hr Rest Area on Wogolin Road provides free camping for self contained vehicles with a free dump point and potable water available at the Wickepin Caravan Park. 

Visitors to Wickepin will find many beautiful lakes in the area, including Lake Toolibin - the largest freshwater lake in the district, and home to the endangered Freckled duck and Night heron. Also nearby is Harrismith, famous for its wildflowers during the spring months.
