Coolgardie Day is an annual event held every year on the third Sunday in September. This years will be held on the 19th of September.
This family fun day attracts over 20,000 people to our historic town. With live music, sideshow alley, food stalls, a street parade, market stalls, mining truck displays, showbags, free entertainment and so much more to entertain the whole family.
Coolgardie Day is the celebration of Arthur Bayley registering his claim for himself and William Ford, know thereafter as ‘Bayley’s Reward’, on the 17th of September 1892 at Southern Cross. It was the beginning of the Eastern Goldfields and was to spark the greatest gold rush in Australian history.
