The Rotary Community Park in Echuca is located 212 kilometres north of Melbourne. Echuca is an historical Murray River town, settled in 1854 and once one of the busiest inland ports in Australia. Visitors today can relive the times of early river traders by taking a paddle steamer cruise along the Murray River and exploring the remains of the red gum wharf, originally constructed in 1865. The event showcases more than 700 exhibits with steam engines, vintage cars, a wood chopping competition and other entertainment.‘Foodies’ and wine lovers vising the Echuca Moama region can also enjoy a day taking in the Food and Wine Trail, which highlights local wineries, producers and dining venues.
