Rosedale is a classic country town, full of energy, life and enthusiasm and is situated 184 kilometres east of Melbourne. The town is home to some incredibly beautiful parks, ideal fishing opportunities, an international speedway and a shopping strip with a village atmosphere. In town, visitors will find everything from beautiful antiques and collectables, to some of the best pies in the area.
Willow Park is the ideal location to stay and explore the town, providing travellers with access to potable water, toilets, rubbish bins and covered seating. Maximum limit is 48 hours and a small donation is appreciated. A dump point can be found at Rosedale Bowls Club, at the end of Dawson Street, and just 10 kilometres out of town is Holey Plains State Park, where a limitless and free parking site is also available.
Holey Plains State Park is also home to a variety of local flora, including white and prickly stringy bark, as well as some rare Gippsland grey box and golden grevillea.
