Your hosts, David and Sally Henery and John and Keziah Henery, love to welcome visitors to their property. There is so much to see and do in this special part of South Australia they know you will love it as much as they do.

It is so easy to get to Alpana! You will find it 55km north of Wilpena Pound and 5km south of Blinman. Alpana's homestead is easily accessed by 2WD vehicles and standard vans on a fully sealed road from Wilpena Pound.

The ‘Horse-yards’ campground

Bush camping with pit toilet per site. The Horse-yards campground is set on the banks of the Blinman Creek in the Parachilna Gorge, about 1km west of Angorichina Village, 17km from Blinman and about 23km by road from Alpana Homestead. You need to collect a key from the Alpana homestead to access the area. The Horse-yards is closed to the general public and set off the road to ensure your privacy. This scenic bush camping area is accessible only by high clearance vehicles and vans and has four separate camp sites along the creek bank. Each site has its own fire pit, pit toilet and shady trees, and at least 300m from your nearest neighbours. Each Horse-yards camp site is large enough to support multiple vehicles in your group. Spring water sometimes flows in the creek bed, season dependent.

Rates: $25 per vehicle per night.

‘Bill's Paddock’ campground

Bush camping with shared pit toilet facilities. Near the Alpana homestead, 5km south of Blinman. Accessible to standard cars and vans. Choose your favourite spot on the southern bank of Butler's Creek, surrounded by giant River Red Gums and native pine trees. Bill's Paddock campground is a large open area. A maximum of six bookings is allowed at any one time to ensure everyone has plenty of space.
