Hallett Recreation Area is located in Hallett, a small town in the mid-north region of South Australia, and is situated on the Barrier Highway, approximately 38 kilometres south-east of Jamestown and 34 kilometres north of Burra.

Visitors can find the recreation area one kilometre from the Highway and main tourist route for Flinders, Broken Hill and Adelaide. Here, sites are available at a cost of $15 per vehicle per night - payable to Hallett Mini Mart. A 48 hour time limit applies. 

Hallett Recreation Reserve is a popular option for many visitors while exploring the scenic hillside of the mid-north region of South Australia. This picturesque and tranquil area is ideal for a relaxing getaway, and nearby are enjoyable walking and bicycle trails that weave through the stunning region.
