Murrabit is small rural community located on the Murray River, approximately 305 kilometres north of Melbourne. Citrus growing, along with dairy, beef and sheep farming, are the main industries within the region.
RV travellers are well catered for at the Murrabit Recreational Reserve Camp Ground, on Browning Avenue. Sites are available for $20 per vehicle per night, and lengths of stays are negotiable. Excellent facilities are available including showers, toilets, bins, and barbecues. A dump point and potable water are also conveniently located within the grounds.
The proud community hosts the ‘Murrabit Country Market’ on the first Saturday of each month, reputed to be the largest and longest running market in regional Victoria. Other local attractions include the railway heritage signed walking track, and nearby Campbell’s Island, a worthwhile day trip.
