Mount Barker is 360km south of Perth and 50km north of Albany. The town borders the renowned Stirling Ranges National Park and is an ideal base from which to explore nearby mountain walks, wineries and wildflower displays, along with the beaches of the rugged southern coastline.
There is a bitumen surfaced area to the west of the District Hall at Lot 250 Memorial Road that offers free 24 hour parking (site temporarily closed). Access to a dump point and potable water can be found at the Mount Barker Visitors Information Centre on Albany Highway.
